1920’s German LFS Superb Round Top Grandfather Clock
Price: 950€ with a VAT Form
Superb example from one of Germany’s top clock makers (LFS Lorenz Furtwangler and Söhne) from the 1920’s. This is a dark brown stained round top case with added beautification around the crown and with exposed toed front feet. The door has sectional beveled glass. The door closes with two catches.
The movement is a solid brass model running for one week. Driven by two multi colored weights and matching pendulum bob. This had been engineered to chime on the quarter hours. I have a YouTube video showing the clock. https://youtu.be/MBAabqnZq9M?si=ky8sJ06u36EODJ1-
The clock dial is rectangular and arched. There are figures for each corner spandrel and a nice figure of Father Time with his hour glass and sickle within the arch.
Dimensions in CM: 2.05H x .63W x .35D.
I am located near Clay Kaserne in the town of Hochheim am Main, Germany.
